In order to accomplish any goal you first must have a clear idea of what you want to accomplish. We’re going to approach this in 5 steps and if you use these 5 steps then you can create, manifest or develop anything that you want for the rest of your existence.
Step 1 – What do you want?
This sounds simple, but the fact is that most people are far too general when they talk about what they want. How many times have you said “I want to lose weight” or “I want more money” and then felt like you didn’t get the results you want.
When you express a desire the Universe will instantly begin to make that desire a reality, but if you have a vague desire you’ll get a vague result.
You say “I want more money” and then you find a penny in the parking lot. Then you say (I hope) thanks to the Universe for sending you more money and then you say “I’d like a LOT more money”, so next time maybe you find a dime (10 times as much!) or even a quarter (25 times as much!). Even though you may be grateful, you also have the thought in the back of your mind that this whole Law of Attraction thing doesn’t work when in fact you’ve gotten exactly what you asked for!
So Step 1 is to state EXACTLY what you want, such as “Thank you for helping me find $25,000”.
Step 2 – WHY do you want it?
Desire, in and of itself, is simply not enough. You’ll be more focused, have more drive and get better results if you have a good reason for the manifestation of your desire. This reason doesn’t have to mean anything or make sense to anyone other than yourself, but it does have to matter to you.
So maybe now you say “Thank you for helping me find $25,000 that I can use to create a reserve for 6 months mortgage and bills”.
Step 3 - WHEN do you want it?
“If you talk about it it’s a dream. If you envision it, it becomes possible and when you schedule it, it becomes a reality.” – Tony Robbins
The more clear you can be about what you want and why you want it the better, so add in a time frame. “Thank you for helping me find $25,000 over the next 6 months, that I can use to create a reserve for 6 months mortgage and bills”.
Lay out a reasonable time frame in which to achieve your goal. You could say “I want a million dollars by this afternoon” but most likely you won’t be able to get yourself into alignment with that goal in time for it to actually manifest, so dream big but keep it believable.
This leads us right into Step 4.
Step 4 – BELIEVE that you can have it.
You may have anything that you can think of as long as it’s believable for you. Now this is where the personal mastery concepts will start to make a difference.
As you grow and develop more self confidence then what you believe that you can accomplish will also grow. Tony Robbins KNOWS that if he offers a seminar literally thousands of people will show and pay in advance to attend. Tom Cruise KNOWS that if he signs a contract for a movie than that movie has a great chance of becoming a box office hit.
What do you know? What do you believe? Can you manifest a cup of coffee? How about 3 new clients this week, or a partner for some co-op advertising? How about a new car or a new office?
Ultimately we are all constrained at an individual level by what we believe that we can have or deserve.
Step 5 – Create small victories, Build on SUCCESS.
As your confidence expands then so will your ability to manifest at a larger level. Build your business on a foundation of success rather than failure. How often do you say “I’d like to have more clients but _____.” Everything after the ‘but’ is a foundation of failure!
Focus on what you’ve done that was successful, and this is relative only to you. It doesn’t matter what anyone else can do or accomplish at this point, focus simply on a success for you. There was a period after I broke my neck that I considered simply getting out of bed by myself a wild success!
This is a point where it’s completely ok to lower your expectations for awhile and simply focus on what you can do well at whatever level you can. If walking 10 steps is a victory for you then focus on that. If you have only given 1 massage or 1 Reiki treatment professionally then focus on the fact that you have been PAID to do it, rather than the lack of clients.
We’ll get out of our comfort zone later. Right now I want you to get INTO your comfort zone and take some comfort from it.

Small business owners have always struggled to get more traffic for their websites. You can have the greatest product, the best deals and the most important information, but if you don’t get any traffic then it doesn’t matter.Viral Marketing can be the entrepreneur’s best friend. Also known as buzz marketing, viral marketing is the concept that you create an article or a video or some other informative and entertaining item that other people are inspired to share with their friends, family and coworkers.
I’m going to share 2 techniques and 1 free tool that I’ve used to get many thousands of hits to my websites.
Technique #1 Article Marketing. I still consider article marketing to be one of the best ways to draw new traffic back to your website. When I work with new authors I always tell them “Don’t try to write a book, instead just write one article per week. Use those articles to draw traffic back to your website while simultaneously compiling the information that you want to publish in book form.”
In others words, start writing now, and start benefiting from your writing NOW rather than when your book is published. The way you benefit from your writing is to publish your articles on the hundreds of article directories that you can find online. Be sure to put your website URL in the Authors Bio box that goes with your article.
When you publish your articles online then other webmasters will use those articles on their own websites. Remember that webmasters need tons of up to date, relevant content to put on their websites. If you can provide that content then they will be happy to publish your articles.
In my newsletters and online magazines I use about 4-5 times more content from other authors than I write myself.
Technique #2 YouTube videos. With the digital revolution it’s easier than ever to put a decent quality video online with YouTube.com, Metacafe.com and a host of other video sharing sites.
Make it funny, informative and short and other people will post it on their websites and blogs and refer their friends, family and coworkers to watch it. You can see a short video that gives you more information about how to use YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_mcc42QMhE
I also promised to give you a great FREE tool that will help you boost your website hits. I’ve personally used the Free Viral system for almost 2 years. It’s easy and it’s free and it works.
Here’s how it works;
1. When you register at http://abe5.com/3if, you will notice there are 6 text ads on the sign up page. Click on the ads, insert the code from the ads into the correct box. It only takes a couple of minutes.
2. Once you have all 6 ad codes, you can complete the sign up process and you’ll get your own viral marketing URL.
3. You then create your own text ad, which will go to the top of the 6 ad list.
4. Each time someone signs up for viral marketing using your links, they will have to view your ad or website to get their ad code. This applies to everyone who signs up under them as well, out to 6 levels.
5. Here is how the system works;
10 people sign up from your page 1 x 10 = Your ad on 10 new sites
10 people sign up from each of them 10 x 10 = Your ad on 100 new sites
10 people sign up from each of them 10 x 100 = Your ad on 1,000 new sites
10 people sign up from each of them 10 x 1,000 = Your ad on 10,000 new sites
10 people sign up from each of them 10 x 10,000 = Your ad on 100,000 new sites
10 people sign up from each of them 10 x 100,000 = Your ad on 1,000,000 new sites
You can see how this works at any of my online magazines and websites. If you go to http://sae.holisticplus.org you’ll see a green banner ad at the bottom of the page that says ‘Free Viral’.
One piece of advice. If you use the text links then be sure to cloak the link and shorten it in order to be sure that your link gets used properly. I use ABE5.com for my short links.
If you take advantage of and really learn to use these 2 techniques and this 1 free tool then you’ll have all the traffic that you could possibly need.
About the Author
Robert Morgen experienced a near-death kundalini awakening in 1992.
This is an important point. Many people may have a skill, talent or a trade that they excel in and they think, “Hey I should start doing this for a living, be my own boss and make the profit for me rather than for my employer”. They get a few licenses, set up a bank account and maybe buy some tools and equipment and then find some customers. The American Dream, self employed and all that.
Then the rude awakening comes that there is much more to running a business than the trade or skill that they brought to it! In addition to working the trade they also have to make sure that the accounting is kept up, create and distribute their advertising, make sales calls to establish new business and a host of other things that the business system did when they worked for a boss.
In my opinion this is what kills more micro and submicro businesses than anything else. They may have excelled at their trade and worked an 8 hour day when they had a boss, but once they became the boss they discovered that there are 168 hours in a week and that in order to stay on top of everything they needed to do they really needed to work all of them.
Put it this way, I used to have my desk facing into a corner of the living room but my wife got tired of looking at the back of my head from the time she got home after work til she went to bed so I thought I’d solve the problem. I got rid of the corner unit and bought a desk that faces toward one of the side walls. Now she can get the cool profile view from the time she comes home til she goes to bed.
Here’s the point to remember. A JOB is a place where you work for money; a business is a place where your money works for you. In The E Myth Revisited author Michael Gerber points out that each of us actually has 3 business personalities that we have to deal with; the Entrepreneur, the Manager and the Technician.
This was a huge revelation for me! I discovered that for almost 5 years I’d been the Technician when in fact it was my job to be the Entrepreneur. My job isn’t to handle every little bit of creating the books, or to oversee every step of managing the company. My job is to create opportunities for other people to do those things.
When you take on the responsibilities of an Entrepreneur then your job is to create jobs for other people, not do all of the different jobs yourself. If you, the Entrepreneur, do your job correctly then after a little while you don’t even need to be there!
If you put together a good staff and give them the right training and guidance and then get out of their way then your business should run even when you are on a book tour or at a trade show or on vacation.
Now anyone who knows me can tell you that I’m still struggling to do this. It’s a lot tougher than it sounds. A big part of your learning process is going to center around exactly what parts of the business you should and more importantly, shouldn’t, be involved with.
Spend some time working on this concept. Read the E Myth series and then decide whether you want a job or a business. If it’s a job you want then give me a call, God knows I need the help.
