Many Lightworkers today are still working under the tribal attitudes that probably carry over from past lives when we were shamans, healers and tribal medicine men. In those days and places we didn’t have to fool with ‘making a living’, we could just live and take care of the tribe and the tribe took care of us.
Now the world has evolved and there are new ways and new attitudes. We still need to take care of the tribe and the tribe is happy to take care of us, but all too often it’s we Lightworkers who aren’t making the shift into this new world and it’s actually causing problems for the tribe.
We’re seeing an interesting revival of the Old Ways now. Some of the modern religions have done a good job of providing a framework for laws and social norms and mores, not to mention fodder for countless wars and atrocities, but it seems that they’ve left a lot of people looking for spirituality rather than providing an easy path to help integrate the body, mind and spirit and many people are actively beginning to seek alternative paths.
These are our tribe; the seekers, the wanderers and those open-minded souls who intuitively feel that they should be looking inside themselves for the divinity that they can sense rather than looking outward to the invisible Gods that are forced upon them.
A Lightworker is always going to be in the position of straddling the boundaries between the various realities. We don’t believe in the Universal Powers and the Universal Laws, we know that they are real and that they work because we’ve felt and experienced them.
One of our missions is to help awaken others to those powers, and in many cases those others don’t believe that the powers actually exist because they have been taught that they have to be able to scientifically prove their concepts before they can be free to believe in them.
At the same time the people that we are supposed to be helping to awaken are indoctrinated from birth into mainstream religions that tell them to have faith in the religious version of the supernatural while teaching that all other versions of the supernatural are unreal and evil.
It’s no wonder that the tribe is confused and looking for relief and answers.
Another problem here is that many of the Lightworkers are still breaking free of the attitudes and teachings of the mainstream religions. It’s hard to grow up being taught that ‘money is the root of all evil’ and then being put into a position where one must learn to use money as a tool in order to help the tribe.
Many Lightworkers feel that to accept money for teaching or healing actually sullies the teaching and healing and lessens its worth. I’ve also met Lightworkers who have difficulties accepting money or even bartered goods that are offered in exchange for teaching and healing. The tribe, on the other hand, is being taught that ‘you get what you pay for’ because they are being indoctrinated into a consumer oriented society. When a Lightworker offers a service then the tribe expects to pay for that service just as they would pay a doctor or a plumber or a school teacher.
When a Lightworker has an inner conflict over accepting payment it actually interrupts the flow of energy that exists between the tribe and the Lightworkers! We can’t teach that ‘energy doesn’t flow through tight muscles’ and then create resistance to our energy flows.
In the times before the industrial revolution and the rise of the consumer oriented cultures Light workers only had to straddle 2 worlds. We had to keep one foot out in the Universe and the other foot here in the collective illusion that the tribe creates as it flows along its daily path to awakening.
Today we have to straddle 3 worlds. The Universe and the illusion are still there and we have to help bridge the gap between these for the tribe, but we also have to stay tapped into the financial world created by the consumerism of the modern times.
The problem for many of us is that we literally don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to this new consumer society and no one has ever taught us how to integrate it into our teachings and practices in any useful way. In fact we’ve been taught that consumerism is bad and we’ve believed it even while espousing balance and harmony! We can just add this to the growing list of inner conflicts that are blocking our energy. I hope the tools and exercises in the book are helpful with balancing out some of those conflicts.
Consumerism and the modern world
Sometimes it can be hard to balance the realities of the worlds we straddle. We can directly attribute much of the rise of the New Age to the books and media distributed throughout our consumer society. In fact the tools and technologies of the Information Age have made it easier than ever before to develop a healing and teaching practice.
There has never been a time in the known history of the human race when the common people, the regular, ordinary working people, have had access to the writings and teachings of every great discipline that has survived the purges of the religions and ravages of time.
Today we can go to the bookstore, visit the library and read the websites and find vast amounts of information and guidance that previously would have been available only to the priests and royalty. Lightworkers have the ability to teach, heal and reach across vast distances to help the members of their tribe.
Today the members of our tribes are scattered and it’s up to each of us to find them and then help provide the healing, teaching and guidance that they might need. We may not always be able to meet them face to face or heal them directly as in the old days, but that simply means that the modern Lightworker has to be more versatile, persistent and tolerant than ever before.
I don’t know what you guys are paying for gasoline…. but here in California we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money’s worth for every gallon..
Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose , CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons.
Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold.
Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening….your gallon is not exactly a gallon.
In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role.
A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
When you’re filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping
on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some other liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.
One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine.
Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up–most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom.
Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.
DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS!
WHERE TO BUY USA GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON
Gas rationing in the 80’s worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.
An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS.
Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia . Just buy from gas companies that don’t import their oil from the Saudis.
Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.
I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.
These companies import Middle Eastern oil:
Shell……………………… 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco……… 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon/Mobil…………… 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway… 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco……………………….62,231,000 barrels
Citgo gas is from South America , from a Dictator who hates Americans. If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $90 - $100 a barrel
Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:
Sunoco………………0 barrels
Conoco………………0 barrels
Sinclair………………0 barrels
BP/Phillips………….0 barrels
Hess………………….0 barrels
ARC0…………………0 barrels
All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.
But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It’s really simple to do.
Now, don’t wimp out at this point…. keep reading and I’ll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!
I’m sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)…and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!
If it goes one level further, you guessed it ….. THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take?
The Google AdSense program is like finding money in the street. Kids in High School are making thousands of dollars a month with Adsense… Housewives, Retiree’s, Mom and Pop’s who’ve never made a dime on the Internet have created full time incomes by simply placing AdSense Ads on their web site or blog. Then you have the “Super AdSense” earners. We have all heard of them… the Elite few who are on track to make half a million dollars a year or more promoting AdSense sites.
Do not be mistaken though… these people are not building like your Mom and Pop’s do. They have systems in place that create sites for them… people who build sites for them… they have outsourced and automated many of the tedious tasks such as posting to blogs and searching for keywords. While most people cannot emulate everything these Super AdSense earners do… many of them you can.
Here are 7 Required Steps you can implement today to copy their success.
1) Starting today… treat your AdSense business like it is a REAL business and track what you do. Begin tracking what you are doing that works… as well as what you are doing that does not work. This will keep you from making the same mistakes over and over, and you can repeat the steps that have worked in the past. As simple as this step seems… most people do not know the reason(s) to their success or failure.
2) Utilize the latest tools and software available. The Super AdSense earners are not any smarter than your average person. I know many people think they are… but for the most part, they are regular non techie people. They are smarter in one respect though… they use the latest tools available to them to automate most of the tasks involved with researching and creating sites. They use the latest keyword, site creation and search engine optimization tools available. The tools they use are their secret weapons.
3) Quit chasing the Mega Dollar keywords.
You cannot compete with the search engine experts who create sites for the $80 payout keywords. You may get lucky every now and then… but in the long run, you are better off building sites for the low to mid range payout keywords. The competition is less, and your chance of success is much higher over the long term.
4) Choose broad niches and break it down. Choose a broad subject as your main theme (lets use computers for an example). From there… break it down into as many sub niches as possible. Using Computers as the example… you could build sub niches/sites like laptop computers, computer hard drives, computer keyboards, etc, etc. You could literally build hundreds of sites around one major theme and stay totally focused. Once you have exhausted every possible sub niche of that major theme… choose another main theme and repeat the process.
5) KISS Keep your sites easy to navigate and forget the fancy graphics that distract your visitors attention.Unless you are just building AdSense sites for the fun of it and to impress your friends… the purpose of having the site is to have people click on one of the ads, right? Then keep the site layout simple… dump the scrolling banners, dancing chickens and colored scroll bars… they are distractions.
6) What is the purpose of your web site? Your web site cannot be everything to everybody. If you have a full fledged ecommerce site, with products for sale… links to other products, it is not a good site for AdSense. If the primary focus of the site is to sell products… let it do that. Do not distract or confuse your visitor with to many options or choices. The best AdSense sites are AdSense only content sites that sell nothing. They are sites that “Tell”… not “Sell.”
7) Be consistent. This is not one of those deals where you build one site and you are done. Refer back to Step #4. You must continuously build in order to be successful.
Think of it as planting a crop that you will harvest in a month or two, and the sites you build are seeds. Once the seeds have grown and matured… you will reap the harvest. The more seeds you plant… the larger the harvest. To sum it up… utilize the tools available to automate as much of the process of building sites - doing research and building keyword lists as you can. This alone will help keep you organized and on track. Be consistent in building… treat it like the business it is and you will reap the rewards of your harvest.
This is the first article in my series or experiments with some new web marketing tools.
Over the last 4 years I’ve spent a crazy amount of time using the various online tools and ideas. Of the literally hundreds of web tools that I’ve tried the one that started getting results fastest is called BlogRush.
BlogRush is a free widget that you can add to your blog. It literally takes about 2 minutes to sign up and add the code. If you use WordPress as I do then just paste their code snippet into a widget and leave it on your sidebar.
Each blog is individually approved so it may take some time before the code shows up on your sidebar. This is a GOOD thing. BlogRush goes to a lot of trouble to be sure that every blog listed meets certain minimum standards. This means that when your readers see an interesting headline they can be sure that it actually leads to a real article rather than ‘article spam’.
This quality control also works in your favor because it gives more credibility to your blog. If you get turned down initially then take some time at the BlogRush website and see what type of blogs get approved. Read their FAQ’s. You can resubmit your blog after 30 days.
In my opinion the BlogRush system can actually improve blogging because it holds bloggers to a higher standard, something that is sorely needed.
Each time the widget loads you’ll see 5 headlines from other blogs. Your readers can click on those headlines and view other complimentary blog posts. When your readers click on the links a new browser window opens with the post they wanted to see.
Before the competition demon rears its ugly head let me point out that you should be putting articles and posts on your blog that make your readers stick to you. You should NOT be worried that your readers will click off your website and run off with some other blogger.
You earn a ‘Syndication Credit’ each time the widget loads on your site as well as when your readers click on the widgets headlines. The more syndication credit you earn the more often the headlines of your blog are shown throughout the network.
Using Leverage
Those of you who have read my book ‘The Spiritual Entrepreneur‘ will be familiar with the concept of leverage. One reason that I recommend BlogRush is because they use this leverage out to 10 levels.
The widget on your page has a very small link at the bottom that says “Add Your Blog”. When other bloggers click on this link and sign up with BlogRush you get a referral credit. The referral credits leverage out to 10 levels.
You can also get referral credits by referring new users via a referral link.
Take the time to explore BlogRush. It can be a great tool for syndicating your blog as well as building your credibility.

Robert Morgen, author of The Spiritual Entrepreneur, has developed a revolutionary system that allows you to develop Multiple Streams of Passive Income simply by giving away free meditation MP3’s.
This simple system is FREE to join and has no autoships, products to buy or fees to pay.
“My goal is to help people create a simple and sustainable form of passive income while making the world a better place” says Morgen. “Stress is the #1 medical problem on the planet today and it affects every human in one way or another. These MP3’s are Guided Meditations that teach people to take control of their lives and reduce stress.”
How it Works
“How many people do you know who have a 1-sided business card?” Morgen asks. “Let’s put that unused Real Estate to work!”
Members of The Spiritual Entrepreneur Affiliate Program simply put a link to the free meditation downloads on the back of their current business card.
“This has 2 effects” Morgen points out. “First it gives you something that everyone needs that you can give away for free! You don’t even have to talk to the person you give YOUR business card to. Simply hand them the card with the back side face up so they can see the FREE text and then move on to the next person.”
Morgen created this system originally as a sales booster for holistic healers such as massage therapists and Acupuncturists as a way for them to add value to their practice.
“It’s nice to give people a bonus for being your customers,” Morgen points out. “It’s even better if that bonus helps them to become your customer in the first place.”
The system is simple. Prospects are drawn to the webpage with over an hour of free guided meditation downloads. If they like the free downloads then they have the opportunity to instantly buy the remaining 4 ½ hours of meditation exercises and music for only $40, half of which is paid out as commission to the Affiliates.
The Spiritual Entrepreneur Affiliate Program pays out to 7 levels. Statistics have shown that about 1 out of 100 people will buy the complete meditation set and that 1 out of 10 will join the FREE Affiliate Program.
“did you know that your business card is the 2nd cheapest form of marketing that you have?” Morgen asks. “Yet most people don’t give them away because they are afraid they’ll run out and have to buy more! You should walk down the street and give them away at random! I do. The least that’s going to happen is that you’ll make more money in your current business!”
Based on those numbers an entrepreneur could give out 100 of their own business cards and earn over $556,000 while introducing over 111 million people to meditation.
“I call it The 100th Monkey Strategy” says Morgen. “The money is just a side effect, if you really want to see what my ultimate goal is then do a search on ‘The 100th Monkey’ and ‘The Maharishi Effect’.”
You can find more information on The 100th Monkey Strategy at the Spiritual Entrepreneur website at http://SpiritualEntrepreneur.biz

Robert Morgen experienced a near-death kundalini awakening in 1992.
Today more people are starting home based and micro businesses than ever before. Some are even taking on the corporate giants in many areas. You must thoroughly evaluate the potential for the business you plan to operate. As you consider a business beware of scams.
Being in business for yourself means you carry the whole load. Careful planning and consideration will help increase the chances of success and in some cases prevent you from making an unwise investment or help avoid unnecessary risks.
A home based business can be either Product or Service oriented. Product-oriented businesses are usually two types: (1) selling products made by you, family members, friends, etc, (2) selling other people’s products by the order or purchasing their products for resale. Service oriented businesses offers a type of service in one or many fields.
An INTERNET HOME BASED BUSINESS once set up, is one of the simplest and easiest to run. If you are looking for ways to make money online or to expand your existing home business, starting your own eBook home based business and selling eBooks could be just what you need.
Selling eBooks on eBay is the “in” thing and is the best selling product on eBay today. A home based business where you resell eBooks gives you the opportunity to make a lot of money selling eBooks. It is easy, affordable and there are practically no expenses involved other than purchasing the eBooks.
eBook authors write eBooks in the hope that you will sell them. You can sell affiliate and other people’s products to start but most people that buy and sell eBooks are looking for something “original”, so you might want to write some of the eBooks yourself to save money and to help spread the word about you and your business.
About 70 percent of all home based businesses are in operation after two years. You can improve your odds of success by moving slowly and carefully in starting a business, and you can join the 95 percent of those who succeeded in their first year along with the 85 percent who are still in business and doing very well after three years.
Last of all, the more automated your home based business is the better it will be. A home based business is not for everyone. Seventy-eight percent of business owners stated that having more control over their lives was an important reason to start a home based business, and 90 percent said they would go into business again.

This is an important point. Many people may have a skill, talent or a trade that they excel in and they think, “Hey I should start doing this for a living, be my own boss and make the profit for me rather than for my employer”. They get a few licenses, set up a bank account and maybe buy some tools and equipment and then find some customers. The American Dream, self employed and all that.
Then the rude awakening comes that there is much more to running a business than the trade or skill that they brought to it! In addition to working the trade they also have to make sure that the accounting is kept up, create and distribute their advertising, make sales calls to establish new business and a host of other things that the business system did when they worked for a boss.
In my opinion this is what kills more micro and submicro businesses than anything else. They may have excelled at their trade and worked an 8 hour day when they had a boss, but once they became the boss they discovered that there are 168 hours in a week and that in order to stay on top of everything they needed to do they really needed to work all of them.
Put it this way, I used to have my desk facing into a corner of the living room but my wife got tired of looking at the back of my head from the time she got home after work til she went to bed so I thought I’d solve the problem. I got rid of the corner unit and bought a desk that faces toward one of the side walls. Now she can get the cool profile view from the time she comes home til she goes to bed.
Here’s the point to remember. A JOB is a place where you work for money; a business is a place where your money works for you. In The E Myth Revisited author Michael Gerber points out that each of us actually has 3 business personalities that we have to deal with; the Entrepreneur, the Manager and the Technician.
This was a huge revelation for me! I discovered that for almost 5 years I’d been the Technician when in fact it was my job to be the Entrepreneur. My job isn’t to handle every little bit of creating the books, or to oversee every step of managing the company. My job is to create opportunities for other people to do those things.
When you take on the responsibilities of an Entrepreneur then your job is to create jobs for other people, not do all of the different jobs yourself. If you, the Entrepreneur, do your job correctly then after a little while you don’t even need to be there!
If you put together a good staff and give them the right training and guidance and then get out of their way then your business should run even when you are on a book tour or at a trade show or on vacation.
Now anyone who knows me can tell you that I’m still struggling to do this. It’s a lot tougher than it sounds. A big part of your learning process is going to center around exactly what parts of the business you should and more importantly, shouldn’t, be involved with.
Spend some time working on this concept. Read the E Myth series and then decide whether you want a job or a business. If it’s a job you want then give me a call, God knows I need the help.
